ramblings about drive-ins, diners, dives, roadside attractions, nostalgia and yesteryear with a side order of house work and repair, special needs and being a proud father and husband

i have been quiet for 248 days
I can't believe it's been 8 months since I last blogged. Work, family, even Christmas and winter - the new year has passed by.
Lately I've been doing a lot of reading: Alex Ross (who's wicked witch is pictured above) and Mark Waid's "Kingdom Come" for the umpteenth time, the collected issues of DC comics under the "Showcase" banner (currently working on "The Unknown Soldier"), Jack Kirby's "The Losers", "The Great American Songbook" about past music artists and soon will be starting a couple Mod Squad books.
The house has also taken some time from writing altho I wish I were getting more done. Windows coming soon and I have to get the downstairs cleaned up before July (office, also, which is a never-ending battle) as vacation is coming.
Most of all, tho, some of my time has been taken by family and enjoying time with them when possible. My son is growing up and soon his parents and toys will be replaced by girls and cars and time for himself. A family is a gift from God as is a child.
I hope to write soon.
