Still one of my favorite graphic novels of all time. Every picture a masterpiece and the story, like Darknight Returns, pulls me in every time.

roadside online

While I can't say I was as much of a regular reader as I wanted to be I am saddened to find that Roadside Online is no longer. When I first read Randy Garbin's magazine (20 years ago?) it was great to find a community of individuals with the same interest in roadside eateries and attractions and started me on a collection of books on the subject, Mr Garbin's paperback on eateries included. He and his contributors brought knowledge and fun to an already enjoyable subject and he and the site will be missed

While on the subject of my favorite sites or publishers it was great to receive a post card and the newest issue of Snackbar Confidential from Lance Laurie and hope this is the start of some semi-regular publishing. This is an old-school cut-and-paste 'zine using old newspaper ads and some dark humor
